Rose Walker Founders Honored as Texas Super Lawyers

Marty Rose, Hal Walker Named to List of State's Best Attorneys

(Dallas) – Lawyers often disagree. It goes with the territory. But, many lawyers in Texas agree on one thing: Marty Rose and Hal Walker are two of the top attorneys in the state.

In an annual survey published in Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers magazines, thousands of lawyers singled out the two founding partners of Dallas' Rose Walker law firm as Texas Super Lawyers. They will be honored in the October 2005 issue of Texas Monthly.

"On both a personal and professional level, it's very gratifying," Marty Rose says. "We feel it shows that we're doing the absolute best we can for our clients."

In order to make the Super Lawyers list, both Rose and Walker had to garner enough votes from the 70,000 lawyers statewide who received ballots and were asked to name the best of their peers. Those results were then passed to a committee appointed by Texas Super Lawyers magazine for review. When the process was complete, only five percent of lawyers in Texas received the honor.

"Well, it's very nice to know that your fellow attorneys think highly of you," says Hal Walker. "But for us, the real reward comes in seeing our hard work pay off in the courtroom, on behalf of the businesses and people we represent."

Rose Walker's courtroom victories include a $96 million verdict on behalf of a Texas business that had been wrongly accused of making defective airplane engine components; a federal court appellate win on behalf of the family of young woman killed when her car was run over by a tractor-trailer; and a $26 million verdict in a commercial litigation case, the largest verdict in Hunt County, Texas, history.
