Marty Rose Featured Among Dallas' Top Corporate Trial Lawyers

DALLAS - Marty Rose, a founding partner of the Dallas trial law firm Rose.Walker, L.L.P., is featured in the May issue of D CEO magazine as one of the city's premier trial lawyers for businesses and corporations.

Mr. Rose is one of five attorneys highlighted in the D CEO article, "The Advocates," which recognizes the attorneys in Dallas that corporations turn to in high-stakes litigation.

The success Mr. Rose has achieved on both sides of the aisle is reinforced in the article. "Rose's track record in Texas and nationwide has made him a 'must-have' defense attorney for many corporations, though he regularly wears the plaintiff's hat in everything from complex patent infringement and commercial litigation to wrongful-death cases,"
the article states.

"In corporate litigation, it is essential that executives trust their attorneys to handle the legal work, so they can focus on running their business," says Mr. Rose, who earlier this year was recognized in Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition as one of the nation's top business litigators. "I am incredibly grateful that our clients have trusted us for so many years, and that executives recognize the success our firm has had in the courtroom."

The D CEO article highlights many of Mr. Rose's recent trial wins, including the $96 million verdict he obtained for Interstate Southwest against Textron Lycoming. In that case, Lycoming accused his client, Interstate Southwest, of making faulty engine parts. However, a jury found the real problem was in Lycoming's design, and awarded Interstate
$96 million. The verdict effectively nullified Lycoming's $173 million counterclaim.

Other cases highlighted in the article include a $25.2 million verdict he obtained for Raytheon against Learjet in a fraud/breach-of-contract lawsuit, and a defense verdict for trucking giant Yellow Freight in a wrongful death case tried in small-town Mississippi. That case, Mr. Rose says, was a "defendant's nightmare." The article goes on to say that, "Such wins in the face of long odds and stiff opposition have become almost commonplace for Rose," who has tried more than 70 cases in his career.
