Rose Walker Founder Named to List of Top Business Defense Attorneys

DALLAS – The Dallas Business Journal has named Marty Rose of Rose•Walker L.L.P. to its first-ever list of top Dallas defense attorneys. 

Reporters and editors at the newspaper developed the list through interviews with attorneys, judges and general counsel at various corporations.  The results, published in a special section entitled, “The Defenders,” include the names of 15 attorneys, of which Mr. Rose is one.

“It feels great to have been selected among so many other first-rate attorneys,” says Mr. Rose.  “I’m honored to know that people would mention my name and that they would think enough of my work to suggest me for such a list.”

In addition to honoring Mr. Rose, the newspaper coverage also highlighted one of his courtroom victories.  In that case, airplane engine manufacturer Textron Lycoming accused his client, Interstate Southwest Ltd. of Navasota, Texas, of making faulty engine parts.  However, a jury found the real problem was in Lycoming’s design, and awarded Interstate $96 million.  The verdict effectively nullified Lycoming’s $173 million counterclaim, making the case worth more than a quarter of a billion dollars for Interstate Southwest.

This is just the latest in a long list of honors for Marty Rose, who was named a “Super Lawyer” in Texas Monthly magazine in 2005.  Previously, Texas Lawyer newspaper chose him as one of the top five “Go-To” business defense lawyers in the state.
