Rose•Walker Law Firm Expanding with New California Office
Heading up the California office is attorney Michael J. Terhar, whose practice focuses on aviation, product liability, and commercial and general litigation cases. The new office is located at 2 N. Lake Avenue, Suite 550, Pasadena, 91101.
“It’s just natural that we would move into California,” says Rose•Walker founder Martin Rose, a member of the State Bar of California and graduate of both the University of California at Los Angeles and Los Angeles’ Southwestern Law School. “Our firm has always worked in California, and we are familiar with the business climate and the courts there. This move gives us a ‘boots-on-the-ground’ component that we didn’t have before, and that’s good for our clients.”
In his legal career, Mr. Terhar has defended cases involving both commercial and private aviation, including the 1978 crash of PSA Flight 182 in a San Diego neighborhood and the crash of Korean Air Flight 801 in Guam. He also has defended personal injury and wrongful death cases arising from injuries to stuntmen, cast and crew in the film industry.
In addition, Mr. Terhar has represented major sports and concert venues in Los Angeles County in claims involving crowd control, security and code violations, and has worked as an arbitrator in head injury cases. He is a 1979 graduate of the Loyola Law School.
“Mike’s a great lawyer with a terrific background,” Mr. Rose says. “We have known him for his entire legal career and frequently worked together. He’s a natural fit for our culture and results-focused practice. I’m thrilled to have him on board.”
