RICO
The Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act, also known as RICO, originally was enacted to help the federal government fight organized crime of the sort that one might see in a classic gangster movie.
But because the law also allows plaintiffs to recover treble damages and attorneys’ fees, RICO is just as frequently invoked in civil claims.
The RICO attorneys at Rose•Walker understand the significant hurdles that must be overcome before a RICO claim can be successfully prosecuted. When we represent plaintiffs, we know whether and how to include a RICO claim and how to make it stick. When we represent defendants, we use that same level of understanding to get those claims dismissed.
Our clients are corporations and individuals, plaintiffs and defendants, in all types of business disputes. But where others might look at a case and see billable hours, we see a problem we can solve by going to court if necessary, or by using the promise of court action to get a better settlement.
That’s the Rose•Walker difference. We’re trial lawyers for business people.
