When an airplane or helicopter is involved in an accident, one of the factors that aviation lawyers must consider is the engineering involved and whether any components failed because of how they were designed.

At Rose•Walker, we work with engineers who understand airplanes and something called “failure analysis,” which involves determining why an engine part or structural component may have broken and how that contributed to an accident.

When it comes to explaining the complexities of an airplane engineering failure to a jury, we know it is absolutely imperative to put it in terms everyone can understand. That doesn’t mean we “dumb it down,” because, in our experience, juries are pretty smart.
