If you’ve been around courtrooms, you know that good trial lawyers need to be, to a certain extent, good actors.

They have to be smart enough to understand the case, the facts and the law, and ready to perform — to present the case so the jury understands it and agrees. And they know the courtroom often is like live theater, where the ability to improvise, read the judge or jury, and present witnesses in the best or worst light are paramount.

That’s one of the reasons Jody Rudman excels in the courtroom environment.  In addition to being an experienced and seasoned trial lawyer for almost two decades, Jody has performed in dozens of professional theater productions, television shows, films and commercials.

And Jody knows a thing or two about trying cases, having handled everything from high-profile murders to billion-dollar mergers. In her 18-year legal career, Jody has worked at law firms representing commercial and corporate clients, and in public service, holding a key senior position at the Office of the Texas Attorney General.  For eight of those years, she was a federal prosecutor and a Dallas County Assistant DA.  Her experience gives her a well-honed familiarity with the inside of courtrooms and boardrooms, and a unique understanding of how to appeal to juries and judges.  She brings to the firm and its clients her experience and abilities in white collar, ERISA, health care, and corporate representation.
